David Mulligan, of Plymouth, won the seven-figure prize on a “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” game, a $10 scratch-off ticket.

He chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity, which would have paid out the $1 million over 20 years.

Mulligan brought his son Joseph along to collect the prize.

Mulligan bought the winning ticket at Mobil, 109 Court St. in Plymouth. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
